Daisy Amdany, Executive Director

Daisy Amdany is the Executive Director of the Community Advocacy and Awareness (CRAWN) Trust. A governance, development and women’s rights specialist and activist with several years’ experience working in the field. As the Executive Director, Daisy is in charge of the overall management of the organization in delivery of its strategic goals and objectives. In collaboration with the board she is in charge of resource mobilization, budget control and strategic oversight of programmes.


Daisy is also a noted political commentator on matters of gender, governance, constitutionalism and development and a consultant who is frequently engaged as technical adviser and policy adviser, trainer and civic educator with several women and human rights organizations at the grassroots, national, Pan African and International level.

Lilian Mogiti:Program Manager

Ms. Lilian is the Programme Manager at CRAWN TRUST.  A lawyer by profession with over 10 years of experience working on issues of Gender, Governance, peace and democracy in Kenya. She is a Project Manager and Development- Pro 1 Certified with a post Graduate diploma in Teaching Training and Assessing Learners.  She is an ardent promoter of Gender equity and equality with focus on addressing gender and Human Rights concerns in the society.

At CRAWN Trust Lilian's work entails ensuring successful implementation of overall programme objectives and strategic goals, Supervise programme staff and coordinate all stages of programme cycle which include programme Development, Planning, fundraising, implementation, Monitoring and Evaluation.

Over the years she has acquired excellent skills and knowledge in project cycle management and successfully managed various dockets as a Lead Consultant in Gender and Governance, Researcher, Programme Manager, Advocacy Officer and also a Programme Officer.

 

Caroline Muthoni: Finance Officer

Ms. Caroline Muthoni is the Finance and Administration officer at CRAWN Trust .She is a holder of a Degree in Finance (Bachelor of Commerce) from the University of Nairobi, and is currently undertaking CPA (Certified Public Accountant) Section 5. She has 4 years working Experience in financial management in the community development sector. 
At CRAWN Trust Caroline's work entails preparing and maintaining of all financial reports. This including accounting, monthly and annual reports, book keeping. Caroline is also in charge of organization administrator and ensures the office runs smoothly. She  Support the programme team in ensuring adherence to finance procudure and regulation and participate in internal audit and assists in external audits.

Winfred Kimeu: Program Officer

Winfred is  a Programme Officer at CRAWN Trust. A Community Development graduate from Kenyatta University  with experience in Community Resource Management and Extension. 

At CRAWN Trust Winfred's tasks include project implementation ensuring activities are in line with organization and partners goals, reporting, mobilization, training, communications and  maintaining stakeholders 

 Winfred is passionate about working with communities in a bid to improve the quality of their lives and has over 4 years’ experience in working with rural and urban communities in women leadership, governance, education, health promotion, OVC support, economic strengthening and environment protection among others.  

  

EDWARD KARIHE MAINA,  Field Officer - Outreach and Advocacy

Edward is the Field Officer Outreach and Advocacy at CRAWN Trust with over 13 years’ experience in community based interventions through outreach and advocacy. He has been involved in community work at various levels and is a dedicated educator and community liaison with vast expertise in mobilization, strategy and communication.

Previously, he worked at Life Centre Kajiado as the Community Outreach Officer and as a lecturer on religion and anthropology  at God’s Bible College, Kenya. Edward has a great interest in social justice, gender equality and ministry for the positive transformation of communities and has an extraordinary passion for the individuals and groups he works with.

 

Louis Thiongo, Intern

Louis Thiongo is an intern in the Programmes department at CRAWN Trust. He is a graduate of Nairobi University with a bachelor Degree in law.  His interests include financial economics,  sustainable development, democracy, global governance and social entrepreneurship.
