Social Economic Empowerement Program

SOCIAL ECONOMIC EMPOWERMENT PROGRAM

CRAWN Trust has sustained interventions in socioeconomic empowerment, under our Socioeconomic Empowerment Program.

The goal of the program is to enhance the realization of women’s social economic rights.

The objectives of the program include:

  • To increase available economic opportunities by developing individual's and group's entrepreneurial skills, enhancing program beneficiaries' access to competitive domestic and international markets; advocate for friendly trade policies and technologies, monitoring and influencing the macroeconomic and microeconomic environment and  encouraging uptake of AGPRO opportunities at both national and county level
  • To reduce marginalized individuals and group's vulnerability to social injustices which include addressing their exposure and the incidence of socioeconomic injustices such as gender based violence (GBV), negative cultural practices and HIV/AIDS. This is done through awareness raising and sensitization of communities against gender based violence, harmful cultural practices such as early marriages and female genital mutilation.
